Log Splitting and More Class Pictures!

I took the foundational class on a little field trip to go split a red oak log. I am working on making some carved boxes and maybe a chest made in the 17th century style, right from the log. This project is actually worthy of another post, so I will keep you updated on the progress.

We were happy to have Kevin’s 4 month-old daughter Clementine visit us a few times in the shop. Here she is, learning a little bit about hand-planing!

A family taking the class is always an enjoyable experience; here Burt, Althea and Sara stand beside their finished tables.
