Time To Enter the Texas Furniture Makers Show

Furniture ShowHave you ever considered entering the Texas Furniture Makers Show? Well, now is your opportunity! This is a great chance to get to know and meet other woodworkers and furniture makers. It is not limited to wood furniture but metal, stone, plastics, cardboard, grass–now that’s going a little far, but really it is up to your imagination! It’s also a great way to expand your skills. And we all need deadlines–that is, by the way, the only way to get a project finished.

I just received the email below from the Show Coordinator inviting more folks to enter. So if you have a piece that is just about done or you are still working on, or maybe you finished a piece already, go ahead and sign up and enter the show. I don’t think I am going to be able to enter this year as I have too many projects for other folks to complete. I wish I could though, it’s a lot of fun and very educational as well. Who knows, you could win some money or maybe some recognition in one of the magazines.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThey even have an apprentice category and the prize on that is a great one too! The Heritage School of Woodworking sponsors that prize which includes a one day class as well as a few of our hand-made tools.  So read the email below, click on the links, fill out the paper work and maybe I will see you at the awards ceremony in Kerrville Texas!
