More on fine wood marquetry: Incredible French Craftsmanship video!

French Watch Maker

While we are on the subject of fine marquetry, it is always good to find a craftsman that inspires you. I have watched this video several times and every time I do, it amazes me. He is using a traditional tool called a frame saw. I would like to build one someday, in hopes that I might be able to attain at least some of the perfection that this master has. The precision and detail in which this guys works is astounding. Well, I will be quiet and let the video tell the story!

Enjoy a bit of French Craftsmanship!

      Mike,

I suppose he is using at least a 3/0 or 4/0 blade. I actually use a 2/0 blade from Pegas. I found it really is the best blade, you can find them in your local Woodcraft stores and they are the most inexpensive ones there! Just make sure you get the 2/0, they are the smallest ones they make.
