Woodworking Show This Weekend in Conroe, Texas

Heritage Wood School booth at the show

Come join us this weekend for the Big Woodworking Show, Friday through Sunday, October 24-26 in Conroe, Texas. Some of you may have noticed that the normal woodworking show that was usually in the spring in Houston got canceled. Well, apparently there was some problem with the venue right at the last minute. But they are back, this time in Conroe which is just north of Houston. This is the first show of the season for the Woodworking shows, as they will be traveling all across the country.

There are three giant rooms, with lots of tools and stuff to buy as well as lots of educational stuff too. I have included a few pictures that I took when we were setting up the show. So please come on over to Conroe and check out the show.

Roland Johnson, the guy who is always writing for Fine Woodworking will be here, doing seminars. You won’t want to miss folks like Jim Heavey giving his seminars. Alex Snodgrass is the most knowledgable fellow I know when it comes to tuning up your bandsaw. And all these seminars cost only the price to get in, just 12 bucks at the door. And if you pay before you come you save 2 dollars!

I will be doing some demos, including making half-blind dovetails, even some dovetail markers like I just wrote about, as well as some inlay and I might even make a small box.

I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new folks too.
