Well, it’s that time of year when the inside of our eyelids aren’t seen very often. We’ve had two weddings here in our community in the last two weeks, and as most of you know the close friends and family will build several pieces of furniture for the engaged couple before they are married. It’s a tradition we’ve been doing for over 20 years now! As one who received the most beautiful set of furniture when I got married, I can definitely say it’s a huge help to have a solid set of furniture to start your new life with, one you know you won’t have to buy again in 5 years.
What I like about building furniture for the newly weds, is the opportunity for new designs. And if the couple doesn’t like the design we can always take the furniture back. 🙂 No, most of the time they aren’t really concerned about the design they just appreciate having something they know was built by family and friends and that it will last generations. But we do try to build according to color schemes and preferred designs.
Anyway here are several pictures.

Beautiful pieces as usual. I love everything about the way you celebrate your weddings there Jonathan. I’ll never forget yours. What a blessing.
I can’t imagine a more wonderful gift than a group of fine furniture that will be family heirlooms for generations.
