This is the top in a rough state but fitted end to end. I have two 11′ lengths with book matched “Live Edges” on the outsides. Each board took two of us to lift, so the steel strut material is a back saver for lifting.
Here it is hanging from the gantry crane with 4 straps.
This shot is of the winding sticks I used to flatten each board prior to attaching it to the whole. I did the flattening with a handheld planer and a straight edge. It really went quite well and then I finished it with our planer. One board per sharpening on the planer. I guess epoxy must have silica in it.
