We were at the Woodworking Show in Houston last week and had a great time meeting old and new friends, admiring other master woodworker’s work, and demonstrating a whole variety of woodworking techniques: half-blind dovetails, dovetail markers (see our blog post on making one in the 7 drawer dresser project), inlay, and a small box.
Thank you to everyone we met who’s been reading our blog and signed up for our online woodworking courses. Check out the Woodworking Show’s Facebook page for many of the highlights of the show.
Congrats to Mike Burns on his showcase win!
Thanks for the likes on Frank’s tool chest.
Look out for us next month (November 21-22, 2014) at the Lie-Nielson Hand Tool Event at Techshop in Austin. See you there!
Now that the dust has settled, we’re pleased to finally announce that Popular Woodworking has published Frank Strazza’s “60 Minutes to Better Furniture Design” Webinar he did October 8. Now, all of you who might have missed it can download and enjoy Frank’s creative methods of turning an idea into a work of art.
You can buy and download it here at ShopWoodworking.com, Popular Woodworking’s online store. Want a sneak preview? Pop Wood’s page even has a video with a snippet of the webinar on it.
If you missed what it was all about, check out our previous blog post here.
Keep an eye out for the next steps on the 7 Drawer Dresser.
