Welcome everybody! It’s great to be able to get the new blog up and running. There is so much to write about and catch you up on, but I won’t do it all in one post. I would like to briefly mention that we have several new classes up for 2011. I will be writing more about them in the near future. I also want to write about the class that I taught in Alaska.
Stay tuned because I will be posting mini articles and tips on hand tool woodworking. I will also post pictures of furniture that is being produced in our shop.
We have started out this new year with a full schedule and classes seem to be filling fast. This month we completed another successful Foundational workshop. The students attending this class were mainly from Texas, with a couple from out of state, the furthest was from North Dakota. I think he came down to Texas to warm up! Here is a picture with all our tired but happy students.
Please feel free to post comments or ask questions, we would love to hear from you.
Great class! Your teachings opened my eyes to a more enjoyable and satisfying means of woodworking. I have recommended this class to many friends and hope to attend follow on classes.
I keep my walnut table in our guest room. I’d like to bring my tabletop to the inlay class and install my Texas Star in the middle.
I really look forward to the Foundational Course starting Monday. I can already sense that wonderful smell of wood just by looking at the photographs. This should be a rewarding experience.

Frank, glad to see this blog. I still happily remember taking the windsor chair class in May 07 – and still get a LOT of compliments on it. More than any of my other projects, combined!
Hope all’s well. I’d like to take more classes…but moved up here to Colorado.
It was a life goal to take the foundational class and be able to finally call myself a “woodworker”. Thanks for your help and patience. The week before class i could barely hammer a plywood toolbox together for my oldest son, now I can dovetail a “real toolbox” for my youngest. My older son is now jealous of the “good toolbox”. I’ll definitely be back.

I am also glad to see this blog. I took a class last month (hand planes) and last week the joinery 1 and really enjoyed myself, thanks Frank.
